Travel south to immerse yourself in the world of Jamie and Claire Fraser. Visit the haunting Culloden Battlefield, where the 1746 Jacobite Rising met its tragic end, before wandering among the ancient, 4,000-year-old standing stones at Clava Cairns (the inspiration for Craigh na Dun).
Head north to experience the spectacular Dunrobin Castle. With its French-inspired conical spires and stunning formal gardens stretching down to the sea, it is the jewel of the Northern Highlands. Enjoy the magnificent falconry display before a scenic coastal drive back to port.
Prefer to sample Scotland’s “Water of Life”? Invergordon is perfectly situated near some of the world’s finest distilleries. Take a short drive to the legendary Glenmorangie Distillery or the royal-blooded Dalmore Distillery for a premium tasting experience, safe in the knowledge that you have a private, designated driver.
Head to the Highland capital of Inverness for a stroll along the River Ness, then take a scenic drive down the banks of the world-famous Loch Ness. Keep your eyes peeled for the legendary monster and snap photos of the dramatic ruins of Urquhart Castle.

Absolutely. This is our number one priority. As locals who regularly conduct shore excursions from Invergordon, we know the roads, the traffic patterns, and the exact travel times. We will have you back at the port with plenty of time before your "all aboard" call.
Our base tour is designed for 4 hours of exploring. If you want to travel further afield (for example, combining Loch Ness and Culloden Battlefield, or adding a sit-down pub lunch to your day), you can simply extend your tour by 1 or 2 hours. This is charged at a flat rate of just £60 per hour. You can request this extension when booking!
Invergordon is a very easy port to navigate. When you disembark and walk through the main port gates, your private guide will be waiting right there holding a welcome board with your name on it. We are parked just steps away!
No, entrance fees are not included. Because this is a "Design Your Own" excursion, keeping entrance fees separate ensures you only pay for exactly what you want to see. We highly recommend booking tickets for major sites (like Dunrobin or Culloden) in advance to avoid queues.
Yes! A 4-hour window gives us just enough time to drive from Invergordon to Loch Ness, enjoy some stunning photo stops, perhaps see Urquhart Castle from above, and return to the ship. However, if you want to do a boat cruise on Loch Ness or go inside the castle, we highly recommend adding a 1 or 2-hour extension to your booking so you don't feel rushed.
